Aqua Balls from the Collage Journal series
The Collage Journal series are a range of surface pattern designs created from mood boards using old school paper and magazines in their creation.
This is an aqua/blue mood board containing the calming aqua to a dark deep moody almost indigo blue with hints of green. There are balls in the form of beads, a pattern and pompoms plus some abstract waves and hits of the ocean that all take my fancy as motifs within these designs.
The colour palate and motifs leaned towards a calming soothing series of patterns as the deepest colour chosen was a Prussian blue rather than the dark deep moody indigo. The patterns aren’t too busy or detailed they simply make you feel relaxed (well they do if the ocean/beach/water is calming in your world). All these elements when extracted out in an abstract manner inspired the following patterns:
