Mandala Fabric Design

The mandala fabric design came about when I was asked about creating a mandala motif for a client, the job didn’t eventuate so I took the design and worked with it. By  combining the motif with some gorgeous gradients I created a bold surface pattern design for Redbubble and Spoonflower.

The mandala is large on the fabric at 15cm, making it an ideal feature piece & I am loving the end result, there are a number of colourways to choose from ranging from this vibrant pink & orange to a more sedate calming purple & blue.

To test out the fabric I have sewn up a modified Maya Clutch by Little Moo Designs to show off the mandala in its best light in combination with a recycled denim.

The inside of the bag I used the LilacSplat fabric design an abstract linear design based on hand-drawn markings on a page, which happened to be in the same pink colourway as the mandala I chose to use.
