Moodboard – Nostalgic Glamour
Moodboards can be used to help portray the feeling of a business, sometimes they are incorporated into style guides (depending on the package you get from your designer). Basically, they give you a visual representation of the mood of your business.
In this series of blog posts I have taken a set of values that a brand may have and used them to create a mood board that represents these. I have then taken it one step further, creating Designer Socials graphics, so you can see how taking the image style, colours and fonts and putting them together enhances the brand.
In this case the brand values are:
- Nostalgic
- Glamour
Inspired by Bridal Bling Australia, who aims to add a touch of class and personalisation to a range of gift lines for both brides and grooms.
Imagery
Think classic black and white, lace and fine detail providing glamour and class. Gold and Pearls. A simply stylish old world glamour, artistic moody photos, elegantly cropped to add a sense of mystery.
Typography
A classic serif font that has been modernised to add a little mystery combined with a glamourous script font to highlight elements. It’s a case of less is more and consideration to how the words can be highlighted to enhance that glamourous feel.
